Bouie Chiu
Bouie Choi employs wood as a spatiotemporal medium, creating paintings that fuse Eastern and Western aesthetics to distill urban symbols and collective memory. Her 2013-2019 community heritage preservation work deepened her understanding of the material—through repetitive preserving, pouring, sanding, and washing, she transforms and redefines wood grain, encapsulating ephemeral urban imprints. Her works reveal humanity’s fragile yet resilient connections through dialogues between the visible/invisible and artificial/natural.
She holds a BA from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (2009) and MA from Chelsea College of Arts, London (2012). Recent solo exhibitions include ‘Those warm and unwavering existences’ (2026), solo exhibition in Basel Switzerland (2023), and in Grotto Fine Art Hong Kong (2023). Wong Winsome Dumalagan
Wong Winsome Dumalagan’s practice revolves around videography, images, and installations, often rooted in the cultural contexts she traverses. She delves into understanding places, roots, and mobility, exploring how everyday narratives of people, nature, and objects construct knowledge, through both planned and serendipitous encounters. With videos and images she captured or collected from those she encountered, she sculpts and layers visuals, and often incorporates discarded household items, inexpensive and sometimes flawed materials, to create temporary spaces that are continuously reconfigurable, probing the boundaries of representation in both imagery and material.
