Beyond curating collaborative creations and productions, NDL is dedicated to building dynamic platforms that support artists across diverse media in achieving creative breakthroughs—empowering them to expand their practices and discover new possibilities for interdisciplinary (or intermedia) collaboration. To this end, NDL launched “Platform Undefined” in early 2026, offering a space for artists to explore new directions through co-learning, festival visit, discussion & exchanges, and collaborative development.
Furthermore, NDL strives to initiate opportunities for expansion to artists at all stages of their careers, from emerging voices to established artists. Through the newly launched Curator-in-Residence Programme, visiting international curators will engage directly with Hong Kong’s local art community through a versatile series of activities—fostering meaningful dialogue and enriching the broader arts ecosystem.
Public Talks | Insight & Strategy
A public platform for our visiting curators to share their distinct curatorial visions, institutional strategies, and first-hand experiences navigating the rapidly evolving landscape of contemporary, interdisciplinary arts.
Emerging Artist Consultations & Mentorship | Creative Development
Through the Open Call, selected emerging local artists receive exclusive, one-to-one consultation sessions to gain fresh perspectives, critical feedback, and international context for their active practices. (See full Open Call details below).
Visiting Studio & Research Meetings | Ecosystem Networking
To facilitate deep, authentic artistic exchange, the programme coordinates private studio and rehearsal visits. Based on the visiting curators’ specific research interests, these sessions are organised by invitation and appointment only, connecting international curators directly with Hong Kong’s local art community.
